Role Overview
The Sales Associate plays a key role in delivering an elevated, personalized in-store experience. This position supports our full-time sales team during peak hours, assists with daily operations, and contributes to our luxury boutique environment. While fragrance knowledge can be taught, professionalism, warmth, and a strong service mindset are essential.
Schedule & Availability
This role is scheduled for approximately 16–20 hours per week. Flexibility around holidays and special events is required. The schedule typically includes one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) and up to 2 weekday shifts, primarily in the morning through early evening when the store is most active. This structure ensures consistent coverage during our busiest hours while maintaining a balanced, predictable schedule.
Core Requirements
• Previous experience in retail sales, ideally luxury or beauty sector
• High level of professionalism and accountability (punctuality, reliability, polished presentation)
• Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort engaging with a diverse clientele
• Curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in fragrance and luxury
• Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback
• Comfort overcoming objections and navigating rejection in a sales setting
• Fluency in English
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends (fairly rotated among team members)
• Polished, well-groomed appearance appropriate for a luxury retail environment

Support individual and store-wide sales goals
Introduce complementary products to enhance the client experience
Deliver warm, attentive, and personalized service
Build rapport and maintain positive relationships with repeat clients
Product Knowledge
Learn and maintain detailed knowledge of all brands and products
Stay informed on new arrivals, launches, and special offerings
Clienteling & Communication
Assist with customer outreach via SMS and phone
Maintain notes on client preferences, wish lists, and follow-ups
Operations & Store Standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing boutique
Assist with restocking, tester upkeep, and visual resets
Accurately process transactions and support inventory tracking
Receive and package online orders neatly and efficiently
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the sales team to meet shared goals
Participate in trainings and team meetings (paid when outside scheduled shifts)
Marketing & Brand Representation
Willingness to be photographed or filmed for social media content
Comfortable speaking about products and the store on camera when needed
Maintain a polished appearance for brand-facing content

The Marketing & Brand Manager is responsible for developing and executing all marketing and content initiatives to grow the La Parfumerie brand. This role consolidates previous marketing functions into a single execution position to ensure clarity, consistency, and speed. It requires strong creative vision, independent execution, and the ability to manage both daily content needs and long-term brand strategy.
As the business continues to expand, the Marketing & Brand Manager will have the opportunity to build and lead a dedicated marketing team.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Content Development
• Create and execute monthly and weekly marketing strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
• Manage all social media channels, including planning, producing, and publishing content.
• Weave our brand presentation across digital platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s visual and messaging standards.
• Capture and post real-time content during events and in-store activities to highlight the customer experience and promote ongoing initiatives.
• Monitor platform performance and adjust strategies to support continued growth and engagement.
Event Management
• Plan, promote, and support all in-store and external events.
• Coordinate event logistics and customer outreach (such as invitations and posts).
• Ensure events are marketed effectively to reinforce brand visibility.
• Serve as the on-site marketing lead during events – managing content capture and any related follow-up.
Delegation & Workflow Management
• Maintain a structured workflow system that clearly outlines goals, tasks, and completion.
• Track progress independently and provide regular updates.
• Collaborate with the team to gather content or execute marketing ideas.
• Participate in weekly meetings with leadership to align on priorities and progress.
Skills & Qualifications
• Strong copywriting abilities for captions, campaigns, emails, and messaging.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) with an eye for visual consistency and brand identity.
• Advanced understanding of social media platforms, including strategies for audience growth and engagement
• Experience with influencer management, including outreach, relationship-building, and performance tracking.
• Demonstrated ability in light event planning and execution.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; able to work independently and self-direct.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, luxury retail environment.
