The smell of a Gritti Woman is Duchessa: bold and decisive. Cloaked in ripe, black cherries and enveloped by fresh marzipan, there’s a fine bitterness of blood orange zest. The heart is a delight of creamy white flowers and powdery cocoa notes, while Duchessa’s sillage has a balsamic, intoxicating, narcotic effect. Sweet as liquor, cherries and sugar are an obsession.
