LP’s Take: Who knew we’d learn about lace in the process of wearing the stunning Gritti White Collection? Rebrodè is a middle eastern style of lace where there’s relief embroidery on top of a very delicate base, like tulle. So there’s a tactile contrast between gauzy and opaque. It’s all about an illusion of bare skin that’s made ambiguous by a bold pattern. The same can be said for Gritti’s Rebrodè. It’s got that whipped creamy, vanilla musky yumminess that all the White Collection has, but it’s punctuated by the bright sizzle of passion fruit and the depth honeyed Amber and earthy patchouli. It may be the most serious of the White Collection, which is to say it’s an elegant and mature gourmand for those just dipping their toes into the sweeter side of perfume.
