LP’s Take: When the heart of a perfume is also in the name, its usually a sign that said note dominates. With Mr. Vetiver thats not the case. Yes, vetiver is absolutely at the core of this perfume, but it presents as a sort of vetiver musk, breezy, fresh, existing more as the canvas, rather than the painted picture. A hefty dose of cardamom brings a zippy freshness and lovely green spice. There’s also an earthy kick with red chili pepper, tempered by herbal notes of basil and tarragon. Verging on gustatory, these peppery, herbal qualities enmesh themselves within the heart of vetiver, amberwood, and oak moss. This green, earthy, and fresh-spicy delight is a must for vetiver and non-vetiver lovers alike.
