This fragrance constitutes a pure amber composition. Oud is made with the wood of the Aquilaria tree, a genus that combines 15 different varieties. When the wood of this tree becomes infected with parasitic mold called Phialophora parasitica, it responds by providing a valuable, dark and fragant resin.
