About Matiere Premiere Niche Fragrances
Matière Première was founded by Aurélien Guichard, the only perfumer in the world who grows his own fragrance ingredients.
On his land in the Grasse region — the historic heartland of French perfumery — he cultivates Rose Centifolia, Tuberose, and Lavandin.
Each fragrance is built around the overdose of a single central natural material.
These ingredients are cultivated or carefully selected for their unique strength, allowing their raw beauty and texture to stand at the forefront without compromise or artifice.
The result is what the Maison calls the Matière Première style — a permanent tension between purity and impact.
